art of rally is such a fantastic game! [free on PS+]
Recently I tried art of rally on PS5 as it is currently free with PS+ (well it is not FREE free, but whatever) and it is such a lovely game with a very smooth gameplay!!
The difficulty hits a sweet spot between trivial and frustrating, the handling is smooth, the scenery is cute, the cars have real weight despite the matchbox aesthetic. It is really satisfying ripping it in Finland with tiny little reindeer in the background.
And the little blocky fans cheer you on as you drift by! How lovely!
Is rally cool again btw? It was in the 90s, but then either I stopped caring about it, or it was not in anymore. But now I see rally everywhere again, rally house is the shit on YouTube. I even considered going to a rally this spring lol, I guess Gran Turismo 7 and now art of rally brainwashed me into liking cars.
